Our Beginnings | Sprinkle & Marble Home Organizing
Hi, I'm Kelsey. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who doubles as a Home Organizer. Sprinkle & Marble, named after the love my daughters share for rainbow sprinkles and marbles, was born from ordinary moments of color and chaos in my own home. The name reminds me of this chapter of my life and that our spaces have the power to hold us up, nourish us, and move with us through life.
The story of Sprinkle and Marble unfolded as an extension of my own story. For most of my life, organization came naturally. I was the kid with the color-coded folders and eventually the collegiate athlete who genuinely enjoyed a good checklist and carefully planned schedule. I had fun organizing and learned early that structure helped me function well.
Adulthood felt like stepping into a world without predetermined schedules, syllabi, goals, and milestones. For me, it was a time of constant transition: graduation, apartment living, job endings and beginnings, dating, grad school, getting married, starting a private practice, working, loss, grief, new jobs, moving, babies, and children. During these times, my living environment was often neglected and not supporting me in the way I knew it had the potential to.
I noticed I wasn't alone. My work as a LCPC gave me a front row seat to the emotional landscape of change. I've spent years sitting with people through new beginnings, abrupt endings, identity shifts, evolving beliefs, difficult relationships, and plenty of other "in-between places". That work deepened my understanding of perfectionism, stress responses, anxiety, and the experience of grief. It also made me increasingly aware of the ways our environments can either support us or add to what we're already carrying.
In the last 4 years, I've decided to get more intentional about my own environment and simultaneously have felt pulled to help in a new way. Not to turn my back on my counseling practice, but to create something distinctly different that is both helpful and adds some variety, creativity, and practicality to my life. The birth of my children, alongside a growing understanding of myself, clarified my desire to blend what I’d learned about the emotional landscape of change with my love of organizing.
Sprinkle & Marble is founded on the belief that our homes don't need to be perfect to support us well. Life will continue to change, things will get messy, and there will always be chapters when keeping up feels harder than others. But thoughtful systems and organization can help lighten some of that weight. My hope is to help create spaces that work with the life you are living; spaces that nourish you and hold you up as you move through your life.
If you see yourself in this story, or you're imagining ways your own space could support you better, I'd love to connect.
